About This Lesson

The children will use toothpicks and marshmallows to build their own structures that can withstand the wolf’s blow. They will then draw their structure and predict by writing or drawing whether or not it will stay standing. They will identify and record the shapes they see in their structures and determine the quantity of each shape. The children will not only be predicting what they think might happen to their structure, but they will also be recording the results and why they thought it fell or not.
