Unpacking the Stigma of Failing: How To Fail Forward

About This Webinar

The fear of failure. It can lead students to feel hopeless, stressed and cause lower levels of self-esteem. Yet failing is required to innovate, to problem-solve, think creatively and cultivate emotional intelligence. So how do we shift this fear of failure mindset? How do we support students to internalize that Failing Forward is essential for learning and growth.

In this 2024 Share My Lesson Virtual Conference session, we’ll unpack the stigma around failure; explore the relationship between failure, growth and learning, and explore five ways for bringing failure into the classroom through experiential learning. Participants will also explore their own biases about failure through a brief assessment and hear best practices from fellow educators for incorporating Failing Forward concepts in the classroom.
