What is Creative Commons and how does it work?

A Creative Commons license means that you, as the content creator, grant the right to share, use, and build upon the work that you have created. Content uploaded by a user always remains the property of that user. On Share My Lesson you have three options to license your material through Creative Commons.

Option 1: Public Domain Dedication - CC0 1.0 Universal

This license allows others to copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission.

Option 2: Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike - CC (BY-NC-SA)
This license allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.
Option 3: Attribution NonCommercial NoDerivative - CC (BY-NC-ND)
This license allows others to download your works and share them with others as long as they credit you, but they cannot change them in any way or use them commercially.
